Educational Use
"The double slider-crank linkage has four links joined in a kinematic chain consisting of two revolute joints and two sliding or prismatic joints. In this double slider, one sliding constraint is perpendicular to the other. Such devices can be used to convert a circular motion of the crank into an exact sinusoidal motion of the link moving in the fixed linear constraint. This mechanism is sometimes called a “Scotch yoke.” " (from KMODDL)
